This is one of the best times of your life.  A time of excitement, anticipation, optimism, and dreams for your future.  At this very moment, you have the potential, talent and freedom to become anything you want to be. It’s times like these when the choices you make will influence the rest of your life. broke-college-studentChoosing wisely can be easier said than done.  It takes hard work, focus and diligence.  It’s a great deal of pressure for a student. However, there is help and you are not alone.  Know that you were born with gifts and talents just waiting to be revealed.  The road will have a few curves and a detour or two…or three. Nevertheless, keep your eyes on the prize. Keep moving. Keep pushing. Keep pressing. It is your time!

Education is more than reading, writing and arithmetic.  Education is the key to open minds, open doors, create opportunities and develop options.  It allows you to view life beyond what you see everyday.  Education gives you permission to dream, the confidence to pursue your passion, the courage to seize the moment and boldness to live the dream.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      ~Monica L. Hello, Ms. Monica! Ms. Tiffany Eddins recommended this site to me and after reading just the intro on the home page, I am eager to learn more about what you can do for me. My name is Chanelle S. Miles and I am a senior at the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy. School, for me, is indeed stressful, and although I am an active student-athlete and an “A” student, that does not compensate for the stress and anxieties of applying for schools, scholarships, and the FAFSA. I am open to hearing advice and getting help from all of those who are willing to help me. I hope to learn all that I can before I make that big decision and begin my life as a college freshmen.

If possible, please contact me via email at chanelle_miles@yahoo.com

    Thank you for your time!

P.S. I need lots of help with the Gates Millennium Scholarship as well!

Hi Chanelle! I hope all is well. I can tell things are pretty stressful for you because it’s after midnight and you’re still up working. You have a lot going on right now. In your words, you are a full time “A” student and student athlete. That alone can be challenging. Now you’re adding the task of applying for college, scholarships, etc. So yes, it’s going to be exceedingly challenging but it doesn’t have to be stressful. Look at it this way, you are developing and implementing a plan for your future. Yes, I can and will help you if you’re ready to take it up a notch. Keep in mind, the anxiety you’re feeling and task you’re completing right now is necessary but temporary. So breathe. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I have several questions for you. I will email you privately so we can create and implement a plan for you.

      Hello Mrs. Hamilton,

I was hoping Saginaw could have attended the event on Wednesday. However, no worries I can assist you with a college readiness, college fair, etc at Saginaw High. I think that would be awesome for your students! Would you prefer contact via email or phone?

Hello Ms. Monica Jones! Ms. Antria Burnell recommended me to this website. My name is Ikeia Gaines and I attend Tennessee State University as a freshman studying Biology. So far school has been going great, but at first I did start off on a rocky road due to financial problems. I applied for many scholarships and FAFSA and some i did get others I didn’t. I’m open to help and suggestions on how i should move forward with financial problems for my coming semesters. Thanks so much this is an awesome website full of encouragement and help for those in need. You are truly a blessing. Thanks. God Bless!

Thank you for reaching out. Let’s first determine what you would like for your 9th grader. Is he/she a scholar, athlete, orator. Let’s talk and determine what options you all have. I will email you so we can talk further.
